Sophrology is a practical mind and body method.
It uses :
- breathing exercises
- simple movements
- positive visualizations.
It was created in Spain, in the ’50s, by Pr Caycedo, a doctor and neuro-psychiatrist.
Sophrology is not only used today in the medical field, but also in sports, companies or schools.
The objectives can be performance, stage fright, stress management, concentration, sleeping issues, ….
Sophrology can be used by children, teenagers, adults, seniors.
The sophrologist adapts the sessions for their client according to their needs, abilities and limits, even if confined in bed or disabled. If some exercises or postures happen to be uncomfortable or painful, it is always possible to adapt them, for the practice to remain smooth and pleasant.
